About Amuria Counties
As at 2012, Amuria has two counties and 16 sub counties:
- Amuria and
- Kapelebyong.
It has 51 parishes and 449 Villages. Amuria County is the largest county with 266 Villages.
Amuria County is composed of:
Amuria Town Council, Abarilela, Asamuk, Kuju, Orungo, Morungatuny, Wera, while Kapelebyong County is composed of Obalanga, Acowa, and Kapelebyong.
Newly created Sub Counties:
Akoromit from Acowa, Ogolai from Morungatuny, Akeriau from Orungo, Okunguro part of Kabelepyong and Obalanga,Apeduru from Asamuk,Wila from Kuju.
